Following the successful completion of the renovation and new addition of the Visa Pavilion for the Swiss Embassy, tsw|architects was commissioned once again to renovate and refurbish the Official Swiss Residence. The scope included a comprehensive upgrade of all electrical, security, and seismic systems.
Working in close collaboration with the Swiss Government alongside architect Lorenz Marty (Swiss Government Official), architect Georg Hammann (BRH Architekten) and their appointed Swiss interior designer, Ulrike Fellner, we coordinated and executed the project, successfully handing over the site in October 2024 back to the representatives of the Government of Switzerland.
A key aspect of this project was that there were multiple contractors and specialists to ensure the highest quality was achieved for each respective facet of the project, as the client emphasised the importance of a pristine finish as this would be where the Ambassador would not only reside but entertain offical diplomats and carry out their various duties. As a result the handover process was over the course of multiple days ensuring that each specialist was allocated time in order to perfect and rectify any defects that was apparent before the final handing over.
